How Much Insurance Do I need
Most people ask me this question at least once during every meeting, and I always try to answer this question in the best and most possible clear way. The obvious is that you can fill in a needs analysis from pretty much any website that you Google, showing you an amount based on the fill in the blanks of your wants and needs. But many of those seeking life insurance fail to realize is that we all have a budget or price that we feel comfortable with. We also have an individual’s personal belief wondering if life insurance is truly necessary, and that will dictate on the amount you decide to leave for your loved ones. I cannot tell you how many clients I meet week after week who simply procrastinate and delay buying life insurance coverage because they just don’t believe in it. I guess in some ways if I had a pristine family history I might be the say way. But death is real, and unexpected death is more real to me than anything. When my father in law, and even some of my friends and family were taken at very early points in their lives I really started to see the value in protecting those you love, in fact it practically pushed me into this career.
Life Insurance is too expensive
Being a proud father of two I can say openly that there is nothing more comforting in my life knowing that if I fall sick, become disabled or critically ill, or die, my wife and children will be well taken care of, and in time they will be able to heal emotionally without the burden of financial stress, worry, and strain. Imagine what it would be like in that situation, worrying about paying your mortgage, paying for daycare, putting food on the table, all the while grieving and having to work minus your soul mates income. Would you be leaving your children and wife the best life possible. When you decide to have that serious conversation on much coverage you need, you also need to think about the cost of living and how it is changing, think about what a house is worth today and what it was worth 10 years ago, has your salary really changed that much or have you simply borrowed more. Do you want to leave 2, 5,10 or 20 years of your income when your time comes. There are many couples out there who don’t have enough coverage, or don’t even have any coverage. There are many people who say that insurance is a waste of money, tell that to the poor old sap who left his family in dire or straights, trust me I have seen this in my industry all to often, the result is only hardship, resentment, and anger. Whatever the insurance you decide on make sure your family is well protected and that you have enough comfort when thinking of worst case scenarios. I would love to be your chosen insurance advisor but if I am not, here is what I would recommend you look for ?
