Greed got the Best of Them
Fellow Toronto Residents you may have heard about the million dollar life insurance scam that was plotted and carried out to the T where the insurance companies actually paid out the coverage. This family schemed but ending up getting caught in the end, probably from some envious relatives who saw them living the good life in California. I know a lot of people have negative connotations towards the insurance companies but I am curious as to your reaction and who you were actually cheering for. The negatives is that most insurance companies will include harder travel underwriting and more exclusions based on the families action. This not the first I have seen of these cases. But I am sure that Travel to known hot spots will get a nice face lift after this incident. Here is Toronto Star view on the incident. They did get the 1 million but I guess going for 2.5 extra made them greedy and they ended up getting caught. Let me know your thoughts.
