Get Your Critical Illness Insurance

Critical Illness Insurance is quite startling these days. Recently in an advisors meeting I was told that the average age for a critical illness was age 41. This seemed very shocking and made me pause for a moment to self analyze if I myself had enough coverage in the event of such an incident. These days the stats are outstanding and the insurance companies realize this. A lot of the companies are drastically increasing the rates, making underwriting way more difficult, insurance companies are also reducing the amount of products they have available. Critical Illness also comes in many product streams, it comes in term 10 or 20, term 75 and permanent coverage. Critical Illness offers some unique and interesting features; return of premium on death, return of premium on expiry, second event riders, etc. These extra riders can be added on the side of the policy but will increase the premiums depending on which features is added. Some of the critical illness companies will offer you an advance on diagnosis of a certain kind of critical illness or if an surgery is needed. In some cases the money advanced will not effect the amount for critical illness, but for surgery advances it may. Critical illness Insurance Payout’s can be used for anything but most of the time people use it for, caregiving or extra nursing, surgery in a different country, family vacation, or use it to help pay expenses that have grown since last worked. This is just a basic overview on Critical Illness Protection.
